Roth Buttermilk Blue Cheese
A Wisconsin-made American blue cheese, cellar-aged for 2+ months to create a creamy, buttery yet piquant taste.
$4.98
Buttermilk Blue is a mouthwatering blue cheese made from Jersey cow's milk and inoculated with Penicillium Roqueforti, which creates its delicious blue veining. As it ages for at least 60 days, it develops a delicious buttermilk tang, making it one of the great American blues.
The flavor is creamy with a slight acidic zest: not sharp or sour like some blues. It is wonderfully balanced and mellow, while being delectably tasty.
It is a great cheese to crumble in a green salad, into creamy risotto, or serve on your cheese board. It pairs well with chocolate, pears, figs, and dried fruit. Buttermilk Blue is a recipient of numerous awards in local and international competitions. It is made in Wisconsin by Roth Cheese.
