Named after the town of Edam (EE-dum) in the north of the Netherlands, our gourmet Edam is the real deal. This Dutch cheese is 5 weeks old, and has a mild flavor. This cheese is commonly seen in a sphere shape, but Dutch cheesemakers also make loaves, which are much easier to cut and slice. This one is loaf-shaped, and packed in the traditional bright red wax.
It's a great melting cheese, sandwich cheese, or addition to a cheese board. Shave into salads, cut for snacking or serve with salty nuts and olives.
We cut and pack this cheese in wedges of 9 ounces and 1 pound and you can purchase a case of 10 x 9 ounces as well.
