Idyll Farms Idyll Pastures Garlic & Herb Goat Cheese

Made from pasture-grazing goats in northern Michigan, this fresh goat cheese is unbelievably fresh-tasting, delicate and fluffy. This version is garlic and herb flavored.

Idyll Pastures is what Idyll Farms calls their simple fresh cheese. It seems like a good name since the cheese is made from pastured milk of goats grazing on wild grasses and flowers. The final product is a fresh farmstead goat cheese in a fluffy and delicate 4oz round. It tastes surprisingly delicate, with light citrus notes and the flavor of fresh clean milk. This version has the addition of garlic and herbs for a subtle enhancement. The disk is topped with dried herbs and flavored ever so lightly. Of endless ways to use this cheese, we'll list just a few: eggs, tossed into pasta, spread into sandwiches or toast, sliced into salads, stirred into tuna, chicken salads, topped with olive oil and fresh herbs, with fresh berries, jams, chutneys, honey or simply placed on a cheese board. If you like this Garlic and Herb version of Idyll Pastures, try the other flavors: Plain, Fennel Pollen, or Honey Lavender.
