When it comes to 'less is more,' Effie's has that concept down pat. This family-owned bakery focuses on producing just a few flavors of their classic biscuit recipe. One bite and it's clear why their small line has become so beloved. Following the British use of the word, these biscuits fall somewhere between being a cookie and a cracker. Perfect straight from the box, they're also lovely with tea, cheese, spreads, yogurt, for baking, desserts, and more.

Our Lead Cheesemonger picked her two favorites: the Oatcakes and the Pecan Biscuits, and paired them with two cheeses and a jam. The Goat Cheese Pyramid offers a light, tangy spreadable option, and the Red Hawk a rich, salty-savory one. Each cheese can go with either biscuit, and everything tastes great with a dollop of the Sour Cherry Spread on top. This collection makes a great cheese board on its own, or can be used to kick off a larger one. It's also a lovely gift and perhaps an occasion to have a British style afternoon tea.
Oatcake Biscuits - A 4th generation family recipe with origins in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Crisp, lightly sweetened, with a nutty flavor reminiscent of comforting oatmeal.
Pecan Biscuits - The sweetness of Southern pecans combined with stone-ground whole wheat and wildflower honey. Like snacking on pecans, but way better.
Red Hawk - A triple-cream organic cheese washed in salt water to create a rich, savory cheese that perfectly complements sweet crackers or jams.
