This ciliegine-sized mozzarella di bufala comes from Colombia's Buf Creamery, who has made it their focus to cultivate healthy, happy water buffalo on grass all year in order to make the best cheese. Water buffalo are an ancient milking animal, especially for mozzarella, because of their super rich milk. 100% grass-fed for 365 days of the year, the water buffalo make mozzarella that is naturally lactose free, high in calcium, rich in omega 3 fatty acids, and 100% vegetarian. Mini mozzarella di bufala are perfect for salads, especially caprese salads made with cherry tomatoes. They're also perfect little dollops to top a pizza or sandwich. Maybe best of all, they are perfectly bite-sized for snack time. We tend to pop a few while standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open, but hey, that's just us.
