Fromage Ami Fig Spread

Fromage Ami translates "a friend to cheese". The name is quite fitting for this fig jam, as it is the perfect accompaniment to Gouda, Manchego, Cheddar, Swiss or Parmesan. You can also make your own layered cheese by cutting slices of fresh goat cheese and add a little dollop on each layer. Experiment outside the world of cheese by spreading it on buttered toast or glazing your next pork roast. Other suggestions may be for breakfast you can serve it with waffles and whipped cream. Add to grilled cheese on whole grain bread with white cheddar, and sage. Make a cherry BBQ sauce by substituting the brown sugar with this fig spread.
