Carr Valley Glacier Penta Creme Cheese

This is not your average crumbling blue. In fact, this one is so creamy that it can’t be crumbled, but needs to be spread in a layer of indulgence. That was the intention of Carr Valley Cheese who set out to make a mild blue with unparalleled creaminess. Italy has its own version, Gorgonzola Dolce, which is so mild it’s often scooped into tiny ice cream cones and eaten for dessert. Glacier Penta doesn’t have to be eaten like ice cream: it’s wonderful on crackers or soft bread. A great dessert cheese, it’s delicious with sweet things like chocolate, honey, or sweet dessert wines. Try it melted on a pizza, or spread on a warm panini.
