Mitica Fig Almond Cake
An artisanal Spanish cake made with just whole pajarero figs and marcona almonds. The figs are soft and juicy, and the almonds are crunchy and delicately sweet. Each cake is formed by pressing layers of fruit and nuts together.
This Spanish Fig Almond cake combines two healthy ingredients into one treat; 85% of its content are whole premium Pajarero figs and Marcona almonds. This cake is the classic pairing for Spanish cheese. From the Valencia region these small 5.3-oz. cakes pair greatly with Spanish and other cheeses, try it with Manchego or Valdeon, or simply with Mascarpone or just plain, just from the palm of your hand. Each cake is a roughly 4" x 2" wedge cut from a 8" fig almond cake. Delicious!
